When You're Feeling Overwhelmed

When there’s too much happening at once, between work, relationships, family, and daily responsibilities, your mind can feel crowded and your body can feel tense or restless. Feeling overwhelmed can make everything feel louder, heavier, and harder to manage. When your mind is full and your body feels tense, it’s okay to slow down, pause, breathe and take a moment for yourself.

Reflection Prompts

  • What feels most overwhelming for me right now?

  • What responsibilities or pressures are taking up the most space in my mind?

  • What’s one small thing I can let go of, set aside for later or simplify today?

  • What feels within my control, and what doesn’t?

  • How is this overwhelm showing up in my body?

  • What helps me feel calmer, even a little?

  • Who or what can support me right now?

  • What’s one small thing I can do for myself?

Practices to Try Now

  • Write down everything on your mind, then circle one small action you can take

  • Name 3 things you see, 2 things you hear, 1 thing you feel

  • Focus on completing one simple task

  • Roll your shoulders and take 3 slow breaths

Ways to Use Prompts

These prompts are here to support self-reflection and awareness. You can move through them in whatever way feels most helpful to you. You might choose to write your thoughts in a journal, use your phone’s Notes app, or simply reflect quietly in your mind. Some people also like to explore these prompts through voice notes or supportive AI tools for additional perspective. If you’re a member, you can also save your entries in 'My Journal' to keep everything in one place. Use them to check in with yourself, notice patterns, clarify what you are feeling, and understand what feels true for you in the moment. Move through these prompts at your own pace and in the way that feels most supportive for you.
